I think one of the greastest inventions in the last 10 years has definitely been the iPod and within the last 5 years the iPhone. I use both of these devices to keep me inspired and motivated on a daily basis.
I have my iPod docked into a Sony AM/FM/Alarm Clock Radio…every morning I have it set to wake me up via the iPod. The song that I wake up to is, “Simply The Best”, by Tina Turner. How can you not feel good when you wake up to such a powerful song?!? I would encourage you to do the same. Why torture yourself and continue to suffer through, “BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!!!” or some variation for the rest of your life? Wake up to something that you want to hear…it will make getting out of bed SO much easier.
The other thing I do to stay inspired and uplifted is use I pick and choose the ringtones I want to hear on my cellular phone. There is an incredible service that allows you to create your own ringtones called The Ring Tone Maker (this is the only program that I have found to be 100% compatible with the iPhone). When you use this service you can create unlimited rintones for your phone and set the ringtones to last from 5 seconds to 30 seconds (I always choose the 30 second option so I can enjoy my favorite song for as long as possible).
The other great thing about The Ring Tone Maker is that YOU get to choose the exact 30 seconds of the song you want to listen to! I have over 50 different ringtones on my iPhone. About 30 of them are assigned to friends and the other 20 or so I switch back and forth as a general ring tone depending upon my mood.
I have to tell you, everytime “Back In Black” by, AC/DC plays when my phone rings I get pumped. It helps create an anchor to inspire me and pump me up for the rest of the day.
I would encourage you to try the same. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and comments on the iPod/iPhone and ring tones.
Yours In Health!
